Option in the new planning board to schedule an activity of a project with a few simple clicks. With a right mouse click on the activity, it will start a wizard that will propose how many hours need to be scheduled based on the budgeted number of hours of the activity and it will also take into account the start and end date if they have been set in the Gantt Chart for the activity.
You will be able to adjust the number of hours that need to be scheduled. You can either adjust it manually or you can have it calculated by choosing one of the following options:
- Budget hours minus planned hours in the past
- Budget hours minus actual hours in the past
- Calculate the needed hours to finish the activity based on progress information.
The wizard will propose which resources qualify based on the needed hours but also based on qualifications (e.g. department, position, skills) that you can adjust on the fly. In the final step you can select a resource and schedule it. If you do not have privileges to schedule a specific resource, you can submit a resource request.
